4/15/2006 Wassup Rockers is the latest cinematic offering from director Larry Clark. yes, that Larry Clark. the sketchy old dude behind such classics as KIDS and BULLY. can you imagine what happens when Mr. Clark starts hanging around some latino hessian skaters from South Central and decides to make his next film about them. wonder no more and just watch the film when it comes out. the SGV got a sneak peak at a screening in Santa Monica. it was quite an event with lots of people there that I didn't expect to see (in a good way). check, check, check it out.

the girl here is Jessica Steinbaum. she plays Nikki in the movie. she told us that she's 16 (about to be 17). and of course that's Scotty Hundreds and let's just say that he's got facial hair.

it's the whole squad. i see most of the kids in the movie; Louie, Eddie, Carlos, Jonathan, and Kico. and then there's The Muska (SHORTY'S + SUPRA) and my new favorite pro skater Brayden Szafranski (BAKER + EMERICA + AMBIGIOUS).
